Cloud Networks partners with Kong to distribute AI Gateway in Korea
Cloud Networks and Kong partner to bring Kong AI Gateway to Korea, enabling enterprises to manage LLM traffic, security, and AI governance.
An AI gateway product designed to manage model calls and data flows during generative artificial intelligence (AI) implementation will be introduced to the Korean market. The solution allows companies to manage multiple Large Language Models (LLM) within a single system while applying centralized authentication, security, and monitoring.

On the 18th, Cloud Networks announced a partnership with Kong, a global leader in API and AI connectivity, to begin domestic distribution of the Kong AI Gateway.
The two companies plan to support AI traffic management and the establishment of governance for enterprises integrating generative AI and LLMs into their business operations and services. The partnership will provide a framework to centrally manage the authentication, security, and monitoring required during LLM calls.
LLMs are primarily accessed via APIs and are frequently used in conjunction with various model providers, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agent-to-agent (A2A) calls. Kong AI Gateway is specifically designed to manage API and A2A traffic within these complex environments.
Kong AI Gateway utilizes the same runtime as the existing Kong Gateway, allowing it to manage calls to multiple LLM providers through a single standard interface. This enables companies to apply existing API policies—such as authentication, authorization, usage limits, and audit logs—directly to AI calls.
At the gateway level, the product provides PII (Personally Identifiable Information) filtering, prompt control, semantic caching, and traffic observability. Its core strength lies in enabling companies to manage multiple AI models and their associated traffic from a single centralized location.
In addition to product distribution, Cloud Networks plans to provide tailored architecture design, system implementation, integration with existing infrastructure, and technical support. The company also intends to pursue projects that integrate gateway-based management systems into existing AI operating environments.
"As generative AI is applied to real-world business tasks, companies must consider not only model performance but also how to control and observe AI calls," said Jeong Heung-gyun, CEO of Cloud Networks. "Leveraging our experience in building AI operating environments, Cloud Networks will supply Kong AI Gateway to support the AI governance frameworks of Korean enterprises."
David Carless, Vice President of Kong for Asia-Pacific, India, and Japan, added, "This year is a crucial turning point as the adoption of Kong AI Gateway begins in earnest among major domestic companies in sectors such as finance, manufacturing, and distribution."
