Eun Ga-eun Faces Kim Seung-hye and Son Min-soo in “TV Show Jinpum Myeongpum” Quiz
Singer Eun Ga-eun joins a KBS1 antiques quiz with Kim Seung-hye and Son Min-soo while revisiting her music and broadcasting career.
Singer Eun Ga-eun will meet viewers through an appearance on the KBS1 variety program “TV Show Jinpum Myeongpum.” She will join the show’s appraisal panel and take part in a quiz centered on the objects submitted for evaluation.

Eun Ga-eun recently promoted the broadcast through her social media account. She posted a photograph of herself winking while making a V sign with her fingers and encouraged fans to tune in, writing, “KBS1’s ‘TV Show Jinpum Myeongpum’ is on now at 11:10. Don’t miss the live broadcast.”
On the episode airing on the 9th, Eun Ga-eun will compete alongside comedian Kim Seung-hye, who is preparing to give birth, and Son Min-soo, who is making his first appearance on the program. The three guests will test their knowledge as members of the show’s appraisal panel.
Eun Ga-eun enters the competition with a proven record on the program. During a previous appearance, she finished as the jangwon, the highest-ranking contestant, giving her another point of interest as she returns for the new quiz.
The appraisal contest will range from a bird-and-flower painting by Go Hui-dong to a piece of buncheong ware. This episode introduces submitted artifacts featuring a blend of Eastern and Western painting styles, giving the panel several distinctive details to examine.
The first submitted work is “Bird-and-Flower Painting” by Go Hui-dong, Korea’s first Western-style painter. The composition depicts six sparrows and bears a seal that appraisal expert Go Geum-gwan is seeing for the first time.
The previously unidentified seal becomes an important feature of the work during the appraisal. Together with the six sparrows and the painting’s combination of artistic approaches, it supplies the panel with evidence to consider as they assess the piece.
The next object is a table dating to the Joseon period. It has a hole in the center of its lower section, as well as an angular rim and legs with an unusual form.
The members of the appraisal panel examine several possible explanations for those structural details. Their discussion considers whether the opening might have been intended as a space for placing one’s legs or whether it could indicate where the table was made.
The final submitted object is a piece of buncheong ware with a horizontally elongated body and a spout attached at its center. Its unusual shape turns attention toward the function for which the vessel may originally have been produced.
The piece was decorated with patterns and the gwiyal technique, in which white clay slip is applied with rough brushstrokes. The panel continues its discussion as the guests try to determine both the object’s purpose and its appraised value.
Eun Ga-eun’s appearance follows a music career that began with her 2013 digital single “Drop it.” Since her debut, she has worked across both ballad and trot music while steadily developing her identity as a singer-songwriter.
In 2015, she released the single “On a Rainy Day Like This.” That same year, her song “Sad Wind,” recorded for the soundtrack of the drama “Scholar Who Walks the Night,” reached No. 1 on Kakao Music’s overall chart.
After releasing “I Found a Reason in the Words ‘Let’s Break Up’” in 2019, Eun Ga-eun continued building her songwriting credentials with numerous self-written tracks. They include “How About You? I’m Like This,” “April 10,” “Spring Spring Spring,” “Dang.Na.Gwi,” “Byeolli [:Aebyeolligo],” “Sarangani,” “Dear. Lover,” “Matnae Ttal,” “Terius” and “I Promise.”
She later appeared as a contestant from another musical genre on TV Chosun’s “Tomorrow Is Miss Trot 2.” Eun Ga-eun finished seventh overall, a result that strengthened her presence on the trot stage.
On TV Chosun’s “Let’s Make My Daughter,” she performed alongside the other members of the “Miss Trot 2” Top 7. The program extended her activities with the finalists beyond the original competition.
Eun Ga-eun also recorded notable results on MBC’s singing competition “King of Mask Singer.” In 2015, performing under the masked identity “Little Wizard Abracadabra,” she won the competitions featured in episodes 29 and 30.
She returned for the program’s 198th competition in 2023 under the identity “Even If I Fall Seven Times, I’ll Rise Again and Challenge the King! Seven Falls, Eight Rises.” On that occasion, she finished as the runner-up.
In 2022, Eun Ga-eun served as the host of “Trot Champion.” Her television work also included an appearance on the KBS2 program “Tuesday Is a Good Night.”
Her broadcasting activities have continued on radio as well. She hosted BTN Radio’s “Eun Ga-eun’s Tiki-Taka,” and on March 25, 2024, she began leading the afternoon schedule as the DJ of KBS Second Radio’s “Eun Ga-eun’s Shining Trot.” Eun Ga-eun went on to receive the DJ of the Year Award at the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards.
