Comedian Jung Bum-kyoon shared a sincere story, revealing his past frugal habits and his loyal actions toward those around him.

Appearing on KBS 2TV 'Malja Show', Jung Bum-kyoon shared anecdotes of the difficult economic situation during his rookie days and the 'jjantech' (frugal technology) he practiced to overcome it. Recalling a time when his monthly appearance fee was around 1.5 to 1.6 million won, Jung revealed that he lived so tenaciously that he saved about 10 million won per year. He mentioned specific examples, such as packing leftover food or bringing ingredients, saying that his current life was possible because of these efforts.

"I have lived well all this time"... 100 million won of loyalty toward senior Park Young-jin

Jung Bum-kyoon also showed that he is not stingy when it comes to taking care of people around him. He drew attention by revealing that he recently gave 3 million won as a wedding gift at fellow comedian Kim Ki-ri's wedding. The anecdote that he received a greeting from Kim Ki-ri saying, "Thanks to you, hyung, I could hold my head high in front of my wife," gave a glimpse into his usual mindset.

In particular, Jung Bum-kyoon caused surprise by revealing an anecdote where he lent 100 million won to senior comedian Park Young-jin. He said that when Park Young-jin urgently needed funds for moving expenses, Jung readily lent him the large sum. Regarding the reason for lending the money, he expressed his desire to repay his senior's dignity, saying, "The person named Park Young-jin has lived so well for his juniors all this time. I wanted to make him feel that he truly lived well." He added that the amount has all been repaid currently.

A determination from the days of a 20 million won annual salary, leading to a 25 million won donation

Jung Bum-kyoon's good deeds stem from a heart that does not forget the difficult times of the past. He recalled that when 'Gag Concert' first ended, his annual salary in his early 40s was around 20 million won. At that time, he stated that he made a determination, saying, "When I have more leeway later, let's try donating."

That determination led to actual action. Jung Bum-kyoon reported that last year, he donated 25 million won, an amount slightly more than his annual salary during his hardest times in the past. Mentioning an anecdote where news reports about his donation included the content that he 'donates every year,' he smiled shyly, saying, "I feel like calling the reporter to ask them to remove the part about 'every year'." He added, "I believe the heart is more important than the amount, and I will continue to work hard in the future."
