The cast members of the upcoming show "Street World Fighter: Directors' War" visited The North Face White Label Myeongdong Lounge to engage in a fashion battle using padded jackets. The choreographers showcased diverse styles ranging from hip-hop aesthetics to "boyfriend looks" by styling each other.
Choreographers held a styling battle, staking their individual senses. The cast members of 〈Street World Fighter: Directors' War〉, which is scheduled to air on Mnet and tvN, visited The North Face White Label Myeongdong Lounge to conduct a fashion battle using padded jackets.
"Must layer two padded jackets to not be cold"... Unique styling strategies
On this day, the cast members chose padded jackets in their desired colors and continued the competition by dividing into teams to take responsibility for each other's styling. Those in charge of styling did not stop at simply dressing the participants, but proposed coordinates that reflected each participant's image and characteristics.
The person in charge of INGYOO's styling chose a strategy of layering a thin padded jacket with 'Project Down' to prepare for the cold weather. This look, centered around the color black, emphasized a hip atmosphere, and immediately after putting on the outfit, INGYOO naturally showcased hip-hop moves to pull off the style. The stylist explained INGYOO's look by saying, "Since it will be extremely cold this winter, we layered a thin padded jacket and Project Down," adding, "As soon as he puts it on, the dance will come out immediately."
The coordination for Gu Yeong-hyeong focused on color contrast. A sophisticated feeling was created through a tone-on-tone arrangement using a blue padded jacket and brown colors. The stylist expressed satisfaction, saying, "I went with a tone-on-tone look where blue and brown contrast perfectly," and "The color arrangement is amazing." Additionally, they used a purple key ring as a point and matched it with Cliff Ultra shoes featuring Vibram soles, adding that "there are no flaws in the look itself."
"Boyfriend look that fans will love"... A fashion show bringing characters to life
Tae-ho's styling took the concept of a 'boyfriend look.' Leveraging Tae-ho's characteristic of looking good in bright colors, they matched beige shoes with white-toned innerwear. The stylist explained, "Tae-ho hyung will show the charm of The North Face White Label as a representative of the boyfriend look," and "It is an outfit that fans will very much love." Tae-ho showcased the completed look and added aegyo to emphasize his 'puppy-like charm.'
On the other hand, Jun-i attempted a reversal charm that was different from his usual cute and bright image. Choosing the color black, Jun-i incorporated his own style, such as using a cute key ring as a point. He also created a look like the 'Little Match Girl' by wearing the padded jacket hood. Jun-i revealed the reason for choosing black, saying, "The image I usually want to show is cute and bright, but not today."
The cast members heightened the atmosphere by conducting a fashion show together wearing their completed looks. Their appearance, showcasing styling filled with their respective personalities, showed not only their sense as choreographers but also their different interpretations of fashion.
Meanwhile, 〈Street World Fighter: Directors' War〉, which deals with the competition involving the choreographers' pride, is scheduled to be broadcast as a final live broadcast on Tuesday, October 20, at 10 PM through Mnet and tvN.
