"Marriage Registration After Only One Month" Cheon Rok-dam, a Gift Gained After Losing Everything in Life

Singer Cheon Rok-dam expressed his unwavering affection for the spouse he met after the ups and downs of life.

Appearing on 'Van Live', an original content series from the YouTube channel 'Miss & Mister Trot', Cheon Rok-dam calmly spoke about his past trials and current happiness. In the video, Cheon Rok-dam recalled the difficult times when he faced economic losses and debt due to past business failures, and mentioned the precious values he gained in the process.

Regarding the process of meeting his spouse, Cheon Rok-dam said, "It feels as if the reason I did business was to meet my wife," stating that although he lost everything, gaining his spouse is the greatest gift of his life. In particular, he revealed an anecdote about making a quick decision to register their marriage just one month after meeting.

He explained his feelings at the time as, "A sense of destiny came, crawling like an earthworm." Rather than waiting for the other person's certainty, he described his bold choice at the time—telling his mother-in-law and starting to live together after just one month by saying, "I just took her home first"—using the word 'straightforward'. Cheon Rok-dam shared that his very attitude toward life changed after meeting his spouse, moving away from his past free-spirited self to a changed daily routine.

Release of Top Seven group song in late October and preparation for full-length album

He also revealed specific plans for future activities. Cheon Rok-dam stated that he is preparing his first full-length album with the goal of releasing it next year. He shared his current status of being dedicated to album work, saying, "I am thinking of about 10 songs for now." Regarding plans for children, he suggested he is currently focusing on music work, saying, "I am not planning it. If one comes to us, it would be something to be grateful for."

Additionally, a group song sung by the Mr. Trot Top Seven is scheduled to be released at the end of this October. It is a song written and composed by Cheon Rok-dam himself; it was originally prepared as a solo song, but the project was decided upon the thought that it would be better to sing it together with the Top Seven members. This song will be introduced as a group song for the Mr. Trot 3 Top Seven and as a new song for the Mr. Trot 4 composer mission.

Meanwhile, regarding the recent status of his mother-in-law, which fans had been curious about, Cheon Rok-dam revealed a close family relationship, saying, "She is staying busy with social activities and choir life."
