The reason he changed his plan from emigrating to Hawaii to settling on Jeju Island

Cheon Rok-dam revealed that there was a period during his military service when he contemplated a life outside of music and prepared to emigrate to Hawaii. However, his plans changed when he met his acquaintance, Jae-hoon of Cool, ahead of his emigration. According to the conversation in the video, Cheon Rok-dam explained that at Jae-hoon's suggestion, he visited Jeju Island and, being charmed by the scenery and the site for a house on Jeju Island before it was developed, chose to settle on Jeju Island instead of emigrating. Operating a studio on Jeju Island and closing down due to COVID-19

After settling on Jeju Island, Cheon Rok-dam continued his activities but suspended them between 2016 and 2017 to focus on living on Jeju Island. He started a new challenge by opening a studio on Jeju Island, but he faced an unexpected variable. Just one month after opening the studio, the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Regarding the situation at the time, Cheon Rok-dam mentioned the crisis that struck before the business could stabilize, saying, "The unexpected COVID-19 arrived." He confessed that due to the aftermath of COVID-19, deficits continued, and he faced management difficulties such as loss of ingredients, eventually reaching a situation where it was difficult to continue the business.
