NMIXX LILY shows vocal colors through cover of TAEYEON's 'Melt Away'

NMIXX member LILY revealed her unique vocal colors by covering TAEYEON's song 'Melt Away'. This video, released through NMIXX's official YouTube channel 'Lilcoding', captures the process of LILY reinterpreting the original song's emotions in her own style.

LILY's vocal progression following the original song's atmosphere

LILY led the flow of the song while following the unique atmosphere of TAEYEON's 'Melt Away'. She built the emotion of the song from the introduction starting with "Tell me what you're feeling, how much you want me, baby". Following this, she expressed the temperature and tension of the song through her vocals while handling parts such as "Your cold gaze melts melt slowly" within the lyrics.

LILY's singing shows changes according to the progression of the song. In the lyric section "Swept away in an instant" and the chorus leading to "I melt into you", she handled the sections where emotions escalate, as if bringing out the meaning of the song title 'Melt Away'. In particular, the part connecting to "So that nothing remains. I will take it all" is read as a section where LILY's unique tone is projected while maintaining the narrative of the original song. She increased the immersion of the song through lyric sections such as "Shining eyes are the size that shines on you" and "I am the only one disappearing in the frozen heat".
