"23 million won?" Members in mental breakdown while trying to furnish their practice room
Members of MY:RAKL gathered to decide on necessary items for their new practice room using Coupang. After an initial shopping cart totaling 23 million won, they narrowed the list down to five practical items.
The members, having moved to a new practice room, put their heads together to fill the lack of household items. In the video released by MY:RAKL, the process of members choosing items needed for the practice room using a Coupang shopping cart and narrowing down the final list through discussion is captured.
"Do they even sell Starex?" The shopping cart stops at 23 million won
The shopping rule was simple. They would put as many desired items as they wanted into the shopping cart, and after a discussion among the members, they would leave only five items in total, one per person. The initial list included items ranging from reality to ideals, such as a water purifier, MacBook, PlayStation 5 Pro, Starex, and luxury sneakers.
In particular, when one of the members mentioned a Starex as a necessary means of transportation when moving the practice room, the conversation continued as they actually searched for parts or related items for that vehicle on Coupang. As the extravagant list continued and the shopping cart amount approached 23 million won, the members reacted with jokes, saying, "I think we might have to sell the company's animals." With a single MacBook accounting for a significant portion of the total amount, the members fell into realistic concerns.
"Let's remove the refrigerator" The final list narrowed down by compromising with reality
As the amount grew, the members began the "deletion process" in earnest. Items such as a refrigerator costing 6 million won or expensive speakers in the 8 million won range were excluded one by one based on the judgment that they were "not realistic." There were opinions arguing for the necessity of an air conditioner, but intense debates continued, such as excluding it considering the seasonal factor of winter and the practice room environment.
At the center of the debate were 'content' and 'practicality.' Opinions clashed between the need for a PlayStation for content production and whether it was truly necessary in the practice room. Additionally, a pleasant verbal battle broke out among the members regarding the correlation between a sofa and a desk (the logic that to buy a sofa, a desk is needed, and to buy a desk, a sofa is needed).
The five finally chosen, "Will they appear in the practice room?"
After a long discussion lasting an hour and a half, the final items were compressed to five. Considering practicality and quality of life, the members made the final selection of a water purifier, a desk, LG StanbyME, a sofa, and finally, a coffee machine. In the case of the coffee machine specifically, there were concerns regarding cleaning, but it made it onto the list as one of the members stepped forward to take charge of the cleaning themselves.
The total amount of the finally selected items was adjusted to a realistic level of around 1.59 million won, compared to the initial shopping cart that exceeded 23 million won. The members concluded the conversation with anticipation regarding whether these items will actually appear in the new practice room.
