MINWOOK's MBTI Experiment: The Dilemma Between Logical T and Affectionate F

MINWOOK, a member of the group CLOSE YOUR EYES, attempted a new leadership style based on his personality type (MBTI) at the scene of a Macau concert.

"Decisions are logical"... 'T' tendencies confirmed through MBTI test

In the released 'BEYOND YOUR EYES IN MACAU' behind-the-scenes video, MINWOOK began his story by revealing that his MBTI is INTP. MINWOOK expressed his ambition to become an 'affectionate F (Feeling type) leader' for this Macau concert. While expressing his desire to be a meticulous person, he explained his original tendency, saying, "When deciding on an action plan, I prioritize facts over people's emotions." He also added, "When there are differences in opinion, I prioritize proving my argument rather than protecting other people's feelings."

MINWOOK emphasized that he must focus on what is most logical when making decisions. In response to the question of whether he tends to rely more on emotional intuition than logical reasoning when making decisions, he showed a firm attitude, saying, "No. I must weigh things as logically as possible. I can't make the wrong decision by being swayed by emotions."

MINWOOK personally retook the MBTI test, and the result appeared to be INTP as expected. Confirming that his 'T (Thinking type)' tendency reached 81% among the result figures, he said, "I was certain it wouldn't change." However, he mentioned that there is a mix of F tendencies, stating, "Although I am an INTP, I am a sensitive type, so I tend to care about other people's opinions and stress."

Macau concert behind-the-scenes, a pleasant mealtime with members

The video captures the daily lives of the members before and after the concert. Upon arriving in Macau, the members spent time having a meal together. MINWOOK showed efforts to approach the members affectionately, and the members responded, continuing the pleasant atmosphere. In particular, the members were shown looking after each other or joking around over the food menu.

On the day of the concert, the members prepared for the stage by conducting a sound check. In the video, the members went through the preparation process of coordinating their comments or preparing to heighten the concert atmosphere to maintain the heat of the Macau concert. MINWOOK finished the performance while breathing in unison with the audience on stage alongside the members.

"I tried to be affectionate, but..." The weight of leadership felt by MINWOOK

In an interview conducted after the performance, MINWOOK looked back on his attempt as an 'F-type leader.' He sought feedback by asking the members, "I tried to be an F-type leader at the Macau concert, how was it?" In response, the members showed different reactions. Some members gave honest opinions, such as "T-type is more comfortable" or "With the F-type, it feels like MINWOOK's individuality disappears."

MINWOOK had time to reflect on himself through this attempt. At the end of the interview, he shared his thoughts, saying, "While trying to be affectionate, I realized that I am usually not that affectionate," and "I will try to become a more affectionate person in the future."
