JUNGSOOMIN's First Stage at BuRock… “Focusing on Performance, Including Unreleased Songs from Next EP”

Artist JUNGSOOMIN showcased new musical possibilities on the BuRock stage. A video released by 'MUSE ON', a musician support project by KOCCA, captures the process of JUNGSOOMIN leading the stage while breathing with the audience at the Busan Wave Stage.

JUNGSOOMIN expressed nervousness, even feeling bewildered when confirming her name was included in the lineup ahead of this performance. As the BuRock stage was a first experience for JUNGSOOMIN, she showed her determination to push herself to the limit on stage to raise the audience's energy in accordance with the atmosphere of the venue.

From unreleased songs to audience-participatory stages… a diverse setlist

On this stage, JUNGSOOMIN greeted the audience with a diverse composition, including not only existing songs but also new songs to be released in the future. The setlist garnered anticipation as it included 'Wherever I'm Drawn', 'Drive Thru', 'Telepathy', and the unreleased song 'CINNAMON', which is scheduled to be included in her next EP (Extended Play). In particular, before playing the song from the next EP, JUNGSOOMIN heightened the heat of the scene by asking the audience if they were ready to enjoy the stage.

In the middle of the stage, a section to induce audience participation was also prepared. JUNGSOOMIN led the audience to sing along to the hook of a specific song, creating a moment where the audience and the artist breathed as one. In a flow that continued from calm songs to songs that release energy, JUNGSOOMIN showed herself focusing on her performance on stage.

“I want to dive deeper into Rock”… an expanding musical spectrum

After finishing the performance, JUNGSOOMIN shared her reflections, which contrasted with her passion on stage. While expressing gratitude to the audience who held up slogans and responded with smiles during this performance, she also mentioned her future musical direction. JUNGSOOMIN stated, "At that time, I want to dive a little more into Rock," expressing her thought that expanding such a musical spectrum would become her own musical capability (spec).

This part reveals her attitude as an artist who, while maintaining her existing color based on sweet vocals, contemplates genre expansion to suit the environment of a rock festival. Immediately after the performance, JUNGSOOMIN concluded the stage along with the scenery of Busan, leaving a lingering impression regarding her next steps.
