Kim Ji-won returning as a 'Dark Hero', playing the role of Gae Su-jeong in the upcoming work 'Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia'

Kim Ji-won announced a new transformation through the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia'. In this work, Kim Ji-won took on the role of 'Gae Su-jeong', who appears at Guseo University Hospital and causes various incidents. Regarding this role, she explained the character's atmosphere, saying, "It's a bit different from the character images I previously knew; should I say it's scary, or a charismatic role like a dark hero."

The point to watch is what kind of actions the character Gae Su-jeong will take at Guseo University Hospital, which serves as the setting for the work. Kim Ji-won revealed that the first broadcast of the work is October 9 at 9:50 PM, expressing her wish for it to become a work that people wait for every Friday and Saturday.

"As if spicy is the answer"... A sharp critique thrown at the forced food culture

In the 'Pollution-Free' segment held that day, phone connections followed to share small daily concerns. In particular, Kim Ji-won expressed active empathy for the story of a worker in their 20s who worries about not being able to eat spicy food well. Regarding the recent trend where the spiciness level of dining out menus or delivery food is becoming excessively high, Kim Ji-won asked, "If I can't eat spicy food, does my mood get bad?" and added that regarding the social atmosphere where enjoying spicy food is treated as if it were the correct answer, "Living in this world is not easy."

Kim Ji-won also confessed that she normally cannot eat spicy food well. She expressed difficulty with the heightened standards of spiciness, saying, "I can't eat spicy food. Bread is spicy, kalguksu is spicy, and soy sauce is spicy." She continued by requesting warm empathy that does not force spiciness, saying, "I hope people who eat spicy food well realize that they eat it well."

Character synchronization as high as Yeom Mi-jeong from 'My Liberation Notes'

Among the roles she appeared in in the past, Kim Ji-won chose 'Yeom Mi-jeong' from the drama 'My Liberation Notes' as the role she felt was most similar to herself. She showed deep affection for the work, stating that she even purchased the script because she liked the lines of that work so much. Furthermore, she mentioned the difference between the image shown in her past works and her actual personality, sharing daily stories that MBTI tendencies can change depending on the situation. She also expressed a humorous view on MBTI, saying, "I N P is a malfunction and P is fixed."

Meanwhile, Yoo Byung-jae appeared wearing a watch that measures stress levels during this recording, conveying the atmosphere of the scene by mentioning the professional characteristics of actors who pour out emotions. He added that since pouring out emotions is not easy, even people with good tension sometimes return exhausted when they finish, and that he came recharged with energy for this recording.
