KEYVITUP's JAEIN shares radio DJ preparations and musical AI analysis

KEYVITUP member JAEIN shared her journey toward a radio DJ debut in a new video, revealing that she practices pronunciation several times a week using a pen. Ahead of the group's second mini album 'NA-GARI' release on November 9, 2026, she also discussed an AI analysis that identified her musical style as dark R&B-based hip-hop.

JAEIN, a member of the group KEYVITUP, shared her daily life capturing her challenges as a radio DJ and her musical contemplations. A video released on the KEYVITUP official channel shows JAEIN's journey to the broadcasting station and her preparation process for radio DJ recording.

Pen practice for precise diction and adapting to the radio booth

JAEIN revealed that to deliver good pronunciation and diction to listeners as a radio DJ, she practices her pronunciation by holding a pen in her mouth, similar to how she practices rap. She explained that through this practice, which she carries out consistently several times a week, she achieves the effect of more accurate pronunciation when the pen is removed. Upon receiving the script for the first time, she was flustered by the vast amount of information required to introduce the charts and worried about whether she could handle it in a short amount of time. Additionally, sitting in front of the broadcasting booth for the first time in a long while made the situation feel real and caused nervousness, but she completed the recording comfortably thanks to the encouragement of the production staff and the cozy atmosphere of the radio booth. Mentioning her experience during the first recording session where she had to take many takes due to nervousness, she showed her determination to do better during this second recording session.

AI analysis of musical color, "matches the direction I pursue"

While continuing her hosting as a DJ, JAEIN shared the results of asking an AI what genre her music would be. The AI analyzed her music as a "dark R&B-based hip-hop track with a style where her own color becomes clearly evident toward the latter half." As her personally pursued musical direction is R&B, JAEIN expressed that she was very pleased with the AI's response. She continued communicating with listeners by reading a three-line poem (samhaengsi) for "Jin JAEIN" sent by listener Jeong-won. Furthermore, while introducing a song by Stella, she shared a behind-the-scenes story where she personally provided opinions during the recording of the English narration, resulting in a more "chewy" tone than the demo, and showed an energetic side by attempting an English narration challenge herself.
