FIFTY FIFTY at the Recording Session for Webtoon 'Serena' OST... "We will show a new musical tone"

The group FIFTY FIFTY has released behind-the-scenes footage of the recording session for the Naver Webtoon 'Serena' OST.

According to the video uploaded to the YouTube channel 'MUSIC&NEW', the members of FIFTY FIFTY shared their daily lives in the recording studio while answering questions related to the recent recording process of the OST 'Called it Love'.

"As soon as we heard the demo, we felt it suited our voices well"

The members of FIFTY FIFTY shared their impressions of when they first encountered this OST song. One member said, "As soon as I heard the demo, I thought it suited our members' voices so well," adding, "Since it was a song with a concept we had never encountered before, it was the kind of music we wanted to try." Another member added, "The style of songs we originally sing is this kind of feeling, so it was very good."

Specific impressions regarding the song's composition also followed. The members mentioned that the intro and outro parts of the song blend well with the members' voices, and they shared that a specific member's high notes and the part acting as a bridge increased the song's completeness. The members expressed expectations that this song will fit 100% with the scenes of the webtoon 'Serena'.

Recording studio essentials are 'propolis candy' and 'writing utensils'

Talk also came up regarding the essential items the members bring to the recording studio. The members revealed that they bring propolis candy for throat management. One member explained, "Propolis candy keeps the throat moist, so it's good for warming up the voice." On the other hand, some members mentioned that writing utensils such as pens and pencils are essential because the process of receiving feedback and making corrections is necessary during recording.

Regarding the change in their recording experience, they said, "Unlike our first recording, we now have the know-how to adjust recording time or control our voices," and "We learned that getting sleep helps in warming up the throat."

Expectations for a new musical color

FIFTY FIFTY mentioned the new side they will show through this OST. The members said, "It is a song with an atmosphere we haven't been able to show much of until now," and "We hope fans will see FIFTY FIFTY's new tone or emotional side and react by saying, 'This suits them well too'."

Meanwhile, 'Called it Love', the OST for the Naver Webtoon 'Serena' in which FIFTY FIFTY participated, is scheduled to be released following this recording process.
