"The Picture in My Head" 8TURN YUNGYU, Behind the Scenes of Vaundy Cover Live Filming

The behind-the-scenes footage of the special cover live filming prepared by YUNGYU, a member of the group 8TURN, for fans ahead of his comeback, has been released. This filming was conducted with the theme of the song 'Kaiju no Hanauta' by the artist Vaundy, whom YUNGYU usually admires.

The grass and school uniform in his head, realizing that scenery

Regarding the reason for choosing this cover song, YUNGYU stated that while contemplating a song to enjoy with fans before his comeback, he decided to challenge a song he has always had affection for. He appears to have envisioned specific scenes even before the filming. He explained that he had pictured himself singing in school uniform-style clothing against a background of a grassy field, and the actual filming site was the process of realizing that vision.

During the filming process, there were continuous considerations regarding detailed directing, such as eye contact. YUNGYU worked to find natural expressions between staring directly at the camera and looking down. He followed advice that rather than staring at the camera for too long, it is appropriate to make brief eye contact in between singing, and he approached the filming by personally confirming that keeping his gaze slightly downward could look less burdensome and more natural.

Outdoor filming in the rain, "Idols perform better when cornered"

There were also unexpected variables at the outdoor filming site. During filming, rain fell, resulting in situations where his body got wet or the filming time became tight. However, YUNGYU accepted these unexpected situations positively. Mentioning that the rainy environment made the atmosphere of the video even cooler, he showed a professional attitude, saying, "There has never been a time when idols were not cornered," and adding, "I think we can actually do better when we are cornered."

The filming proceeded amidst fickle weather where the rain repeatedly fell and stopped. YUNGYU expressed pride in successfully completing this filming, which followed a busy schedule traveling between Daegu and Busan until the day before the shoot. He expressed satisfaction with the staff who helped him capture the song in the atmosphere he wanted, and conveyed his hope that fans will check out this result soon.
