NCT 127 Reflects on 10 Years and Seeks the Spark Within on Seventh Album ‘Blingy’

NCT 127 marked the 10th anniversary of its debut by looking back on the decade the group has spent together. The members expressed their gratitude to the fans who have remained by their side throughout that time while also sharing their determination for the years ahead.

According to a video from KBS WORLD TV’s “The Seasons S9,” uploaded on September 21, 2026, NCT 127 appeared on the program to revisit what the milestone meant to the group. Through both performances and conversation, the members reflected on their 10-year journey. The appearance also featured a varied set of performances, including songs from the group’s seventh full-length album.

Discussing how it felt to reach their 10th anniversary, the members agreed that the decade had passed more quickly than they expected. Their comments focused not only on the passage of time but also on the people who had continued to accompany them during those years.

“Because I was concentrating on just one thing, I thought 10 years would feel like an incredibly long time, but even so, I feel grateful that the members, the staff and so many people are still by our side,” one member said. “It makes me resolve to continue becoming a good artist.”

The members also mentioned the recent news that every member had renewed their contract. Along with news of the release of their seventh full-length album, “Blingy,” they explained the meaning carried by its title track of the same name. According to the group, “Blingy” is about searching for the sparkle within rather than focusing on an outward shine.

The day’s performances were arranged to connect NCT 127’s past with its present. Haechan and Jaehyun prepared and performed “To You” by Seo Taiji and Boys, using Sung Si-kyung’s remake version. It was a song Haechan had first sung in the past, when he was serving as a music-show host, giving the new performance a personal connection to an earlier point in his career.

Haechan said he felt extremely nervous because he had first encountered the song through the senior artist’s version. His remarks recalled the significance that this earlier rendition held for him as he returned to the song with Jaehyun for the anniversary appearance.

The next stage introduced “Piñata,” a track included on NCT 127’s seventh full-length album. The song reportedly climbed into the upper ranks of the YouTube channel’s popularity list and reached 10 million views within five days of its release. Through their performance, the members conveyed the energy of the track directly onstage.

During the talk segment, the group also revealed its affection for Doyoung and Jungwoo, who are currently completing their military service. The members brought up “Muk2U,” content they had made with Doyoung, and expressed regret that the activity had been suspended because of military service.

Jaehyun, in particular, showed the strength of the bond among the members as he addressed those currently serving. He said, “I told you that if we later appeared on ‘The Seasons,’ I would make sure to send you a video message.”

The members concluded their messages to their bandmates in the military with warm words of encouragement. “Let’s stay healthy and have dinner together,” they said, also adding, “I hope we can appear together on the next ‘The Seasons’ soon.” The messages brought the anniversary reflections back to the connection among the members as they looked toward being together again.
